GNSS - Applications

GNSS (GPS, Glonass) surveying techniques have improved tremendously in recent years and have become powerful tools for positioning and navigation. GNSS has two major advantages over other surveying equipment: its operation is weather independent and does not require inter-station visibility and it is ideal for supporting terrestrial laser scanner surveys by allowing direct positioning of the scanners.  iMO uses the latest GNSS equipment from leading manufacturers.  The GNSS static method allows the establishment of highly accurate and reliable geodetic networks. Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) can be applied for surveying large numbers of points or for stake-out surveys.  In the case of aerial surveys, GNSS equipment is used as reference station.
